as the time rolls on by...

I have found a job! and I start in a week.

Of course I was surprised it happened so soon (in fact on the first interview I went on) but this job is pretty close to being perfect.

More on that next time

Hope

Today was another busy day...it started off the same as yesterday (boring, boring, boring) and then things started to get busy. Whether is was answering phone calls or manning the front desk, I was preoccupied with something till about five o'clock.

When I finally did get a chance to sit down, I checked my emails and found out that I had gotten a rejection from a job that I applied for. Although it was a job that I really didn't want anyways because it was in a different city, I was still bummed that I was rejected.

After that I was feeling like a reject (of course) but low and behold I check my cell phone for the time and find out that I have TWO missed calls!

Now of course I figured it was just my mom calling me to tell me that she was on her way. As it turns out it was two calls for two different interviews! The one that I am most excited is for a job that is actually only about five minutes from where I will be living!
For now I am staying calm but I am still hoping for the best...

Wii!!!

This past 4th of July was my favorite by far. It was so good that I called it my vacation for the month. I got to see a race through downtown Davis, eat some BBQ, play a couple of rounds of homerun derby, and even see 4th of July Fireworks for the very first time. It was a good weekend.

So today work was pretty crappy though, not because the office was busy but because I was put on a special assignment back in the camps that I was not very excited about.

For some reason, I feel that some people are just too spacey to really see the big picture behind everything. Maybe it is because I am older or maybe it is just because I'm not a space cadet. Either way, today was a long day.

I did get to play with my brother's Wii today...and let me tell you it is soooo much fun. The sports game is the coolest thing. I played golf, tennis, and bowling.

Other than that my quest for a job continues. I found a new job posting website today so now I am up to three job websites.

Jobs

Since my life isn't interesting enough to write an actual blog about I have decided to write about my job search...

Well it officially started on the 1st of July as my parents nagging finally reached a point to convince me to start.

So far I have applied for over 30 jobs...and every time the phone rings my heart skips a beat

I have never actually been in the real world where I don't already know someone who can directly hire me. I have always been able to get places by knowing someone. But this time I am on my own.

Well not really. My current boss has been helping me find jobs on the internet and giving me connections through some of his friends. I would have to say that I am probably one of the luckiest people in the world to know that I have the coolest boss in the world.

Not only do I get to keep my current position until I find a job but I also get to take off whatever time I need for interviews and such.

I guess that is what I get for my hard work and dedication. This is my fifth summer working for the same people and I have slowly moved my way up the ranks.

So, for the one reader that I have out there, this is my update for you.

another week, another week

As I sit in bed wondering whether or not I am going to fall asleep soon I reflect back on the last four years of my life. Yeah that did not last very long before ADD took over and Family Guy distracted me. Man I really need to work on this not getting distracted thing.
